Wagga, Junee, Lockhart and Coolamon was forecast for hot, dry conditions and NSW RFS issued the suspension as a precaution.
Rain during the week calmed some of the conditions but the NSW RFS still wants people to be vigilant and exercise caution.
“Under hot and windy conditions, grass fires can spread quickly and threaten lives, property, crops and stock,” Superintendent Roger Orr said.
